ACTIVATION SERVER - Terms of Use

This Policy is current as of April 02, 2019 (the "Effective Date") and is concluded by and between 3DHISTECH Ltd., the owner and controller of the website at https://activation.3dhistech.com/ (the "Website"), a corporation with its principal place of business at No. 3 Öv Street, Budapest 1141 - Hungary (hereinafter referred to “3DHISTECH”), and the users of the Website (hereinafter referred to “User” or “Users”).

By accessing and registering to the Website, the Users agree to the terms of this Policy. If you disagree with these terms and conditions or any part of these terms and conditions, you must not use this Website.

Preamble

With the help of the Website, the user can activate the license for the use of HW and/or SW components acquired from 3DHISTECH (for example, by purchase) at its end-use site, which is required for their intended end-use. During the activation process, we connect the 3DH HW and/or SW components, their location (institutional data) and the computer running the SW components.

Information Collected Upon Activation

The data the User enters during activation are collected by 3DHISTECH and will be stored for license activation, quality assurance and end-user support purposes. Some of the data are collected automatically, but these data are transferred to Website with the active cooperation of the User. The rest of the data are required to be specified on the Website by the User.

Automatically collected data, that identify a HW/SW component, and the personal computer running the SW component are the following:

·  Name of SW product (Product) (e.g. PannoramicScanner)

·  Version of SW product (Version) (e.g. 2.0.5.93613)

·  Date when the SW was compiled (CompileDate) (e.g. 2019-03-20T00:00:00Z)

·  Name of HW product (DeviceType) (e.g. Pannoramic 250)

·  Serial number of HW product (DeviceSN) (e.g: P250-015907)

·  Unique identifier of the computer running the SW product (HWID) (e.g. 8TGY-R3TS-9Z6H-E45E-22J9-6JY9-DUP1-3CKS)

o  This identifier is created with a HASH algorithm based on HW identifiers of the computer on which the SW product is installed, and from which identifier the original HW identifiers cannot be retrieved.

·  Unique identifiers of Hardware Keys (provided by 3DHISTECH for the End-User) for storing SW product license (e.g. 619773056,117189268)

·  Unique identifier of public key generated by 3DHISTECH that is incorporated into the SW (PublicKeyID) (e.g. 59f3745a-0058-43db-aadb-2a23ab3a59c9)

·  Unique identifier received during a previous activation (ActivationKey) (e.g.: 3bb4063d-a688-4f50-8004-97c8ab1ecdba)

The data required to be entered by the User on the Website to specify end-use location of the HW/SW product are the following:

·  Name of the Institute or Company the products are used at (Organization) (e.g. YOURCOMPANY Ltd.)

·  Name of department at the Institute or Company – if there is such (Department) (e.g. Microscopy)

·  E-mail address of the Institute or Company that is generally used and through which the end user can be contacted at institutional level (E-mail) (e.g. support@yourcompany.com)

·  Main phone number of the Institute or Company on which the end user can be contacted at institutional level (Phone) (+36-1-467-5600)

·  Site address of the Institute or Company where the product is used:

o  Country (e.g. Hungary)

o  State – if any

o  Zip (e.g. H-1141)

o  City (e.g. Budapest)

o  Address line 1 (e.g. Nr. 3 Öv Street)

o  Address line 2 – if any

Other general data that are implicitly and usually sent by the web browser during accessing the Website are the following (the list is not exhaustive):

·  Type, version number, and compatibility numbers of the web browser and the operating system that run on the computer

·  The public IP address of the network device that connects the user to the public Internet

All your Information are treated in compliance with the always effective data protection regulations of Hungary.

Tracked Information

Log Files: 3DHISTECH may collect certain information and store it in web server log files. This information includes internet protocol addresses (IP addresses), internet service provider (ISP), website entry and exit pages, operating system, browser version, date and time of usage, and clickstream data. 3DHISTECH uses this information for improve the site, analyze trends and help fixing problems that Users encounter during their use of Website. Information for these purposes is saved on an anonymous basis and does not include individual user identities.

Cookies: 3DHISTECH utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” to collect information about usage and to also create a method of identifying a user for authentication purposes in order to help ensure that a User’s appropriate data and access rights are provided to them throughout their usage of the service. Cookies are designed to help determine that a particular User has visited a website or used a particular web product or service previously, and thus to save and remember any particular settings, permissions, and preferences that may have been compiled.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

3DHISTECH may share your Information to contractual distributor partners. 3DHISTECH may also disclose your Information when 3DHISTECH has a good faith belief, in our sole discretion, that doing so is necessary or appropriate to (i) comply with any law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; (ii) enforce this Policy, including investigation of potential violations of this Policy (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (iv) protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of 3DHISTECH, its Users, or the public as is required or permitted by law.

Security

3DHISTECH employs several layers of security measures that are designed to safeguard and protect your Information from unauthorized access and disclosure, but please be aware that no security measure is immune to online attacks or attempts of evasion. 3DHISTECH cannot control the actions of other users with whom you share your Information, and there is no guarantee that your Information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by a breach of any of our security measures.

Modifications

From time to time, 3DHISTECH may review and change this Policy. If a change is needed you shall be notified either by email or by posting a notice on the Website. The most recent version of Policy is always located on the Website. Your continued use of the services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

No warranties

This Website is provided “as is” without any representations or warranties, express or implied and 3DHISTECH makes no representations or warranties in relation to this Website or the information and materials provided on this website. 

Law and jurisdiction

The Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Hungarian law, and any disputes relating to this shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the competent authority based on 3DHISTECH’s seat.
